Maybe where ever you got the oil done forgot to put the new oil in. Drained it and then let you drive off. Improbable but possible.

Do you change the crush washer when you change your oil? That's the first thought that came to my mind was that all of the oil leaked around the filter. Just a WAG, but something to ponder. I would sure do my best before they try to clean of any part of the engine to figure out where the oil came out. If you had actually burned that much oil, you would have noticed it, so I think leaking is your only option.
i didnt change my own oill.. the place i got it done ive been using for a very long time never had a problem with them...infact i took the carr back to them nd the put it on the lift right infront of me nd showed me no leak whats soo ever... the owner is more than willing to help me out if nissan gives me a hard time

Gotcha.
Well. I hope it all works out OK. My brother had this issue with a Saturn that he used to own. He had the oil changed at the dealer and the seal on the oil filter blew out and dumped the entire load of oil.

Man, if you deal with Nissan the same way you deal with a little ribbing on here, you're the proud owner of a useless $40,000 hunk of metal and plastic.

Did you do your own oil changes, or did you take your car someplace else that did them for you?

Either way, that's Nissan's way out of helping you.

Wow. So there was no leak. I'm figuring if there was any kind of serious leak you would see traces of oil all under the car. I find it kind of hard to believe that she burnt all the oil without you knowing about it. How long after your last oil change did this happen???? Well just keep an eye on your dealer, cause if they have a feeling it was your fault or the fault of the shop you had the change done at there gonna do there best at not paying for the damage. Good luck man.

I think the garage forgot to put some oil in after they took the old oil out of your car. If you should sue anyone you need to check this for sure, otherwise you might sue the wrong people.
