Having to wait is almost unbearable!
 

It's only been a week since I ordered my Fully loaded yellow 370 and I can hardly stand it. I,ve run out of videos to watch(like 3 or 4 times) read all of the reviews( 3 or 4 times). been to this forum 20 times a day and generally think about this car night and day. You guys that have yours already are not making it any easier :driving: thank God for this forum cause the next 90-120 days are going to be ugly!:shakes head:. Anyway how are my fellow sufferer's doing with the wait, help me I need support!:eekdance:

So the current wait from factory is 90-120 days, ouch, but I am about to jump into that so I feel you.

I feel your pain. I want one bad, but have decided to wait a bit for a few reasons:

1) I figure by summer time there should be lots of inventory, hence better to wheel and deal on a car that's sitting on a dealer's lot.

2) Always hesitant buying a first model year car, so by summer I'll know if the car is relatibvely trouble free or not. If not, I may wait until the 2010 model year.

Nevertheless, the wait is killing me. My heart says go order one now, my head says no.

I feel your pain, man. I've tested them and picked out what I want, but I am not going to be ready to purchase for another couple of months. I could purchase in about 30 days if I wanted to, but I just took a new position and would like to wait until my probationary period and raise before I commit with a new car. You know, just to be safe. :D

I am in EXACTLY the same boat!! There's a part of me that wants to call the dealer, like, every day and see if there have been any updates. I've bought a smart key cover and new 370z JDM wallet already, shopping for a radar detector now... just staring longingly at the many Platinum Graphite Zs scattered on the web.

The weather is just starting to turn here in Portland... sun is shining a little more... it's making me wish my Z were here :)

Glad I'm not the only one! Since ordering in Jan I've read nearly every Z-related thread here as well as other sites, looked at every youtube video of the 370z at least twice and google recent news on the Z every couple hours... I think it's turned into an unhealthy obsession!

Fortunately it's only 1 month before it comes... cannot wait. I feel for you bud!

I don't want to hear it, my 335i lease doesn't end until June 2010.

Oh well not a bad car to be "stuck" in.

I am 3 weeks in to my 90-120 days. But, its not that bad. I had to wait 5 months for my G because I ordered it before the official launch.

I'm with you, and I'm still a good ways from ordering. I've come to hate my current vehicle for the pure fact that it is not the Z.

everyone on the forums (like 3 of them) are waiting for the release date of the G37, which was Aug.22/07. tons of ppl have ordered and awaiting for the cars to reach the dealerships and then the paperwork starts. unknowingly to the public, i bought my G before the release date and it so happen to be i picked up the car on Aug.22...i had to wait a week for the dealership and insurance company to get the paperwork done and waited for the plate also. It was a race to be the 1st owner....pressure was on....lol
but i did it......and now i have bragging rights

Welcome to the waiting club. I put in a tiny deposit to reserve a PG Z arriving around Mar/Apr time frame. All of a sudden a bunch of layoffs were announced at my workplace and most of my friends got the notice. There is quite a bit of uncertainty surrounding me.

On the other hand, I'm taking advantage of some deals and group buys to ease the waiting anxiety.

I feel your pain. I got lucky and heard on Monday that I am in my Z in under 20 days. One on a boat about to arrive was not bought yet and met my order. Got lucky but even this short wait is killing me.

I know one guy that totaled his G and got a replacement, the truck carrier got hit and a few G's got hit also....but his made it through cause it was on top.....lol

Same here, test drove 370 first day it hit town, waited a few days then took out a 08 fully loaded then drove the same exact 370 again. put my order in for a 09 370 Red/black leather,sport pkg, and touring(6m/t). It's like i want to go dealer to dealer just to test drive. I've never owned a sports car before, the test drive was cool as h*ll. But da*n, spring needs to hurry its a** up.

90-120 days is not too long a wait
 

I waited 1 year for my Saturn Sky Redline..........and ended up trading it in in a flash after seeing the 370Z. Guess I'm in the snaggers club, my wait for the 370Z was 2.5 weeks..............lucky:tup:

I'm sorry man but that's a little obsessive. I do know where you're coming from. I too am excited to get mine. I'm ordering it this weekend. But why don't you try to find something to better occupy your time instead, like obsessing over women. If you do that successfully and often enough, your Z will be at your doorstep in no time. On top of that, you would have had a good time.

Another idea. Do you own property? If you do, try and find something around the house to do. Come up with a project to occupy your time. Believe me, having idle hands is like watching time fly by....not fun.

I am being responsible, so I have to wait about 90 days before I buy. :owned:

My wife went thru the same deal when she ordered her 335.. Even though her profession keeps her really busy. In her spare time she would read every single tidbit of info that was out there (it was 1st yr, so not a whole lot of reviews etc were out yet). It was a long 2 months. ;)

I know how you feel. Still lucky you I can't buy anything till summer because of the Boeing layoffs I think it is around 10,000 people. Just keep busy make a pond.

I bet you guys don't end up waiting the full 90-120 days. I purchased mine Jan 8th I think and was told i would get it April 1st. As of today mine is scheduled to come in Next week. :)

It has been nice not having a car payment.

That is smart. Better to avoid situations that can put you in financial trouble.

Go join a rec league or something, man. Heck if you're any good, try AAU. Those fun trips and games will definitely keep your mind off the Z. :tup:

Hey, scoff all you want, but with a borderline obsessive personality, and a desperate desire for instant gratification, as the OP brought up, the wait is almost unbearable. At least the wife is supportive :D

But, another update from the dealer... they have an arrival date in late March. So, 5 more weeks wait. Total wait time, orginally quoted 60-90 days, looks like it's going to be more like 44 days. Here's hoping everyone gets their Z early!!

i've waited 3 months for both my 335's (only ended up getting one tho), and 4 months for my M3. im numb now when it comes to waiting for cars :(
let me tell you tho man. once you get the car that moment you see it, u'll forget the whole wait. it's a sweet feeling
