I think a monster Hyundai will make the competition a lot more fun. I'm sure its a few years out but still...
It's not ignorant. I wouldn't have bought a 240Z when they first came out either.

Actually I might have cause they are a hell of a lot better looking than the Genesis Coupe (which is downright fugly and disproportionate).

Do they make a damn good economy car? You betcha. Would I ever drive a Hyundai over a Nissan? Hell no, mainly for the reasons I stated above.
Don't be bitter over their naturally aspirated $30K car makes almost 90% of the power the GT-R makes without sounding like a leaf-blower on steroids. This is just a wake-up call for Nissan. It's time to get with the program. In the late 90's, 330hp was "cool". Now, even econo/Korean companies are 100 past it.

If this engine were in the 370Z, I would rush out and buy one tomorrow. It isn't. I'm not. Probably going to buy a 'vette if the 2011 model Z doesn't have 385+bhp, which I doubt it will. I just don't think anything less than 400bhp is very competative anymore unless you're in highschool. Even then it's a bit weak. 500bhp is the new 350bhp. 2001----->2011. Evolve.

I'm not disagreeing with everything said, but power is not the "be all, end all" with sports cars. I know you like to drag race, so I can see where you're coming from, but the Miata makes barely more than it once did, and it's a favorite track toy. 330 hp ain't bad, especially for a 3200lbs. vehicle.

I thought they said the Tau V8 had issues even fitting in the gen coupe already?

They turned the gencoupe into a rear mounted mid engine 4.6L v8. Its one sick ride.
Love the genesis coupe. The engine and tranny tech need to come slightly up a bit and gear ratios need to be improved but for the price its one sick azz whip.

I see a 2nd gen GC in my future...

I remember that one, it took a bit of work to stick that V8 in there.
Now with how long it will take to put the V8 in a gen coupe by that time I am sure Hyundai will have a redesign for the gen coupe and will fit a bigger engine easier.
