In regards to your topping off method...you are absolutely wrong. First of all, there's no way that you can get 2 gallons more after it clicks. Also, topping off in general is just a bad idea as shown by a previous link. Moreover, If u try to top off, you will very soon notice the gas dripping on your paint...now as a Ferrari owner...or any nice car owner, you know that gas and paint is not a nice combo.

Hey man.........you say I am wrong.......I have been doing this for at least 30 years..!!!! Have you even EVER tried it? I think not..........yet you have the audacity to say that I am wrong......lol

After the nozzle clicks off.......your gas will settle as the air works its way out of the tank.......thu the fill spout......why dont you try it.......and see?

And I have never had any problems from doing this.......never..........in all types of cars......

Ferrari if you want to quote someone, just hit quote in the lower right hand corner of the post instead of copy and pasting, or just type in

[QUOTE] "Subject you are quoting" [ / QUOTE] at the beginning and end of the sentence you want to quote, just remove the spaces in that second set of brackets

fortunately, I have NOT tried this method. but my roomate in his 06 Civic has, and it did exactly what you would expect. After it clicked, a couple moments later gas spilled down his rear quarter panel. was his .1 gallon really worth it? I dont think so. But, im glad it works for u

^^^ Exactly my point. The tanks aren't made like they used to be. They're not diesel drums, they're specially molded tanks that are designed to flow gas in and out at an optimum rate. Most have double ballast areas in performance cars so that weight doesn't shift with fluids shifting during a turn. I'm going to leave it to the paid engineers to have done their job correctly and not try to mess with the chi of the gas tank. LOL

Ferrari - LOL. I know you've been around since the dinosaurs started building Fred Flinstone's car (you know when you had to shake the gravel tank to settle the gravel and make sure you had a full tank, etc) but I think you've missed a little point here about people in general. People who don't have what you have don't like you because you have more than they do. For example if I have a 370Z and my friend drives a Hyundia Pony he's not gonna like me, etc because I have a 370Z. He might want my car but it doesn't make him like me. People may want what you have but it typically does the opposite of making them like you.

I do strive to keep from thinking "pretentious rich prick" when I meet wealthy people as the odd one isn't...

So in short either you're full of crap trying to impress people so they admire you or you are loaded trying to impress people - either way wrong tactic....
