28 is the middle of what they got for testing. You can do better than that. Just depends on your driving habits.
C5 Corvettes say they're supposed to get 18/25, but my friends are getting 32-36 on the freeway average. And they're not exactly driving like grandpa. But to get the best mileage, keep the RPMs below 3500 and you'll get excellent economy. I follow the same rules with my cars. The 300zx averages 20MPG and I almost NEVER drive on the freeway with it. My Solstice does about 25/41. GM says that it's supposed to get 21/36. Again, it's all about your driving habits.
