My reasons for picking coupe over roadster is that the roadster is more expensive and more ugly! ;)

I voted roadster because of road feel. If performance was number 1 and you're tracking it, go for a coupe. But, personal preference, I like the road feel of a convertible better. You feel like you're going faster. You have better overall visibility. It also has its cons, as others have mentioned.

And of course my cheap arse bought a coupe, so take it fwiw

wat i dont get is why you are starting a thread and poll when it already appears like you have a 370z Touring Roaster 7AT.

are you trying to get re-confirmation that you made the right choice? if so only you can determine that. if you're happy with your roaster AT machine why start another poll?:confused: hummm...maybe you made a mistake? i dont know.

now if someone offered me a ferrari spyder i wouldn't turn it away....

I wouldn't either (or any other Ferrari that I can think of)!

With regards to modern (350 and 370) Z's I've had three coups and two roadsters. I pretty much like both body styles equally although for slightly different reasons.

Most of my performance/sports cars have been T-tops (my first T-Top was the first car to ever have a factory T-top; a 1976 50th Anniversary edition TransAM); for me; T-tops are about the best of both worlds; but I digress.

I"m about to order a replacement for my current roadster and I'm curious about what some folks think among the choices I've narrowed my selection down to...the G37 drop top wasn't available this time last year but it's in the mix now.

:icon14: how about you go the extra mile and look at the p-car? :yum: cause even if you get the G37 drop top, about a year or so from now you're going to be like... man, i needed to have included a higher performance car in my poll.

dont bs around and just get the best you can get and be done with it... be cheaper that way for you probably. :icon17:

Obviously, the purpose of my thread has escaped you.

I get two new vehicles every year and while I appreciate your concern for my financial health, the concern is unnecessary.

i think it's the other way around. i think your poll makes no sense and you're just wasting money.

how about you donate some of that money to the people hurt by the oil in the coasts? that might fill your void.

If you feel my poll makes no sense, pleas feel free to ignore it.

I really could not car less whether you think I'm wasting money and as to donations; we have our own little disaster here in Nashville but since we don't have a 24/7 underwater camera for people to watch it's probably escaped your notice (just as it has BHO's).

touche!

But as for the car choice, I would definately consider the G37. The Z is a beautiful car and there are no regrets here, but the fact cannot be hidden that a backseat is useful from time to time

Yeah...that thought has occurred as well and my basset hound would probably appreciate the back seat to lounge in when she travels with me!

Well, don't check into too much but I tend to be fairly easy to get along with.

I suppose I should be more cordial but I admit that I do tend to respond negatively when it seems as if l someone is going out of their way to irritate/insult or when they start trying to tell me how I should spend my money (after all, that's what wives are for isn't it???).

Horseface 06-16-2010 06:30 PM

Touring.

I'd have got the roadster if it wasn't so damn fugly.

I'd have got the Nismo if I wanted cloth seats, an ugly ricey rear end and about 2 extra HP.

I'd have got an Infiniti if I were older and liked conservative looking cars with flat arses.

:happydance::ughdance::happydance::ughdance:
;)

If I could afford it, I'd gert the convertible. I have seen some on the road here in Melbourne and man they look sooooo goood. From what I have read they are very close to the driving feel of the coupe but with the added (imo) benefit of being a roadster.
