Do you feel about racing as I do?
For you guys and gals out there. Do you have a hard time just watching racing on tv? I love road course racing with all the passion I have. I couldn't imagine doing anything else in life. To bad right now I don't get to do much of at the moment. But will come shortly.
But it seems for me to actually sit down and watch it on tv for more than twenty minutes is hard. Even for as much as I love it. I'll come back to it from time to time as long as it's still airing. But to just sit there the hole time and not miss one lap is hard for me. I'd just rather be out there doing it all day everyday rather than watch it on tv. And what I do watch, I'm usally just watching what lines everyone is racing. Does anyone else have the same feelings? |

I'm a diehard fan so I have no problem watching it on TV.
But I do see where you're coming from. It's always better in person. NASCAR is probably the best example... the most hardcore of NASCAR haters will have an absolute blast if you are able to drag them to see a race in person. When you're there you wish the races are 20,000 miles so it never ends!!!

I have no issue watching it on TV, i mainly watch F1 and the occasional WRC or any rally race that might be on TV. i'd love to be out there doing the racing, but Ferrari hasn't called me back with my contract offer haha.
I have a tough time watching NASCAR, on TV or in person. The upside to NASCAR is that it's BYOB however :P It was nice being able to bring in a cooler of my own beer instead of paying $10 for crap beer. Beyond that, oval racing just isn't for me. |

I love it all. Throw some lawn mowers out on a race track and I'll tune in :P

LeMans classification, I prefer those.

Nope, don't feel that way. I have raced for 10 years, and always enjoy watching the road racing series (ALMS, SCCA, Grand-Am, IRL, etc). In fact I am watching the Continental Challenge at the Glen as I type.

NASCAR is right below bowling on my "favorite sports to watch" list....which is pretty far down said list.

I love motorcycle racing. MotoGP, Moto2, WSBK and Isle of Man TT are all awesome. Races only last about 45 minutes which is great. I do like car racing but much like the OP my interest fades after about an hour.

the WRC is probably the only racing circuit worth watching to me.
