Z Manual - Good Advice

LOL when reading this one:

WARNINGS AND ALERTS

2. Low Fuel Warning

This warning appears when the fuel level in the tank is getting low. Refuel as soon as it is convenient, preferably before the fuel gauge reaches the empty (E) position.

Cracked up at the preferably part :rofl2:

rofl. yeah, you should call that "plan a"

Well, the truth is that you shouldn't let the fuel get down to empty on cars older than 2 years because of the contaminants at the bottom of the tank from crap gas. Also, you should never fully run out of gas because it's bad for the fuel pump.

ushaly fill back up when i get down to 1/4th tank.

I put gas in my tank once a month (if even that) so I fill up at 1/2 a tank if I even notice it.

Agree and good advice. I remember most German manuals warning not to let it happen due to fuel pump damage.

I was laughing about how polite they try to make it, "preferably before the gauge reaches empty," versus "get to a gas station."
