i think this might be the case because of how the ac heat exchanger and radiator are somewhat integrated... so i think the refrigerant running through the heat exchanger is effectively cooling the radiator... i am not sure and am just theory mongering .. hahah

It doesn't make sense, your putting an aditional load on the drive system because your using the air compressor. Now unrelated the water temp trick, needs the heater to be run to lower the water temp in case of an overheated engine, but the Ac on to lower the oil temp? I don't think its possible. What maybe hapening is that as the reving of the motor slows because your at a light or in slow traffic the engine is able to bring the Oil temp down a bit since your not pushing it. so I think thats the reall reason and not the Ac.
