Good point. Pressing a pedal and moving a stick is way better. And is there anything better than 20 miles of interstate bumper to bumper accident induced traffic and a manual tranny? I think not.

Yeah, to cure the boredom of 7AT, why not take up a hobby to make driving more exciting? Something to distract that other hand, like smoking, doing your makeup, reading a map/newspaper, drinking piping hot coffee?

Cannot agree with this more! I wish more people drove manual rather than the other distractions that cause accidents on a daily basis. I can't even count how many times I've almost been rear-ended by women applying makeup in the mirror or countless other things.

TBH I don't find driving in heavy traffic any more burdensome in my manual 370z compared to my auto bmw x5. It's the difference of one extra pedal....Just my opinion though.

It was a bit tongue-in-cheek. I've seen manual drivers who drive like that. Regardless of transmission or vehicle type, too many people are paying attn to everything BUT the road.

You can have fun and drive an automatic. And it can be bothersome to be in 2hrs of traffic in a MT, like I was last week. Regardless, people should be paying attn to the road.

We host international students and from what i have seen they are generally very babied, spoilt, rude and arrogant etc. Only one has been gone in about 50 that we have had. Their parents buy them the cars and houses, most of them come from very rich chinese families.

Yeah this AT/MT thing has been wore out.
To each his own iv'e had both now driving the AT.
But i understand why the manual guys like the 6sp they won't
total control over the car.the 7sp doesn't offer
that. there are times to me that the auto can't make
up its mind which gear it want's.
but in manual mode with those paddles its another story.

damn 6sp or 7at the cars still hot!

Never understood this one. Drove stick through H-town back when they tore 59 up and sat in it for hours in a cammed up 5.0 with a clutch about 3x as beefy as the one that comes in these Z's. No big. You get used to it.
