Poll: Do you prefer the Synchro Rev or with it Off?

I usually leave it off. I drive in alot of traffic to and from work and it freaks other drivers out hearing my hfc & catback exhaust reving while coming up to stops.

Mine is usually on. The last week or so I've turned it off periodically as I'd like to think I can heel-toe still. Also, my exhaust gives some since burlbes on the decel when SRM is off, most likely because I'm letting the revs drop more than SRM does. It's audibly pleasant but I can't match SRM for consistency (who really can?). So, it's back on now. I will say that it's an absolute pleasure to heel-toe yourself and get the shift perfect.

SRM also helps smooth out upshifting. It won't let the revs fall below the rpm that the next gear requires at the given road speed . So, the driver can take more time completing the shift without getting jerked forward when releasing the clutch pedal. It takes some of the timing/throttle-work out of smooth shifting.

Of course, a skilled driver can upshift smoothly without SRM, but it's a nice feature when you're feeling a bit lazy. IMO, it's good to turn SRM off from time to time so you stay in practice. Besides, what skilled driver doesn't like blipping on downshifts or take pride in smooth upshifts? It's fun and rewarding.

ive gotten use to it ON, so i just leave it on. typically i do my own heel and toe on my MT cars. both my dd and G are MT.

For those of you who leave it on all the time - turn it off and you'll realize how sloppy your down and up shifts are. lol

^ I leave mine on so I don't have to worry about my down shifts.

Up shifts are pretty much the same unless I take my sweet ass time.

its just such a great too on day to day driving, makes everything so much smoother. always on unless i feel like doing the heel and toe manually.

I find that it depends on the driving circumstances i'm in! If i'm in high traffic or slow moving or lots of stops signs or lights then I prefer it on. If i'm on a straight away or wanting a faster take off and quicker up or down shift I prefer it off! That's just me! When I first got it I always had it on to get used to it, but now a month later, I prefer off. On is still cool though!!
