Default 370z ride

i have had my 370z with sports package for 3 weeks ,when i test drove it it rode very nice .now that i have driven it for a while the ride seems very rough brothers my back. could the 19 inch tires be the problem here?

That's um....strange. Was it a sudden change in ride quality that you noticed one day? Or is it more of a 'now that I'm used to driving this car and the early excitement has subsided, it annoys me' thing?

I guess it depends on your definition of "smooth" but my Z rides super super smooth and I have sport package 19's.

maybe you have been riding on different or bad roads.. make no mistake the stock ride is firm w/sport package but not abnormally so.. it rides quite nice.

I have the SP. My Z rides just fine. What was your last car, if you don't mind my asking?

^ OT Semtex, but was Senna talking about Spa? or ironically was it Imola?

On topic:

If he says his last car was either a lexus, infiniti or merc then we have found the issue.

Senna was talking about Imola. He said it in an interview the day before the race. Going critical || Ayrton Senna

And yes, depending on what the OP's last car was, it will help put some perspective on things. That's why I asked. Because I was thinking -- okay, I think the Z is smooth. But my last car was a 350, and my car before that was an S2000. Our perceptions of ride quality depend largely on what we're accustomed to.

Definitely the tires with the low profile. You may want to go to the dealer and test drive one without the 19's. See if it makes a difference for you, and change the wheels/tires. It is amazing how much of a difference a summer vs. touring all season tire can make on ride quality.

You had an NSX and you are complaining about the ride of the Z? Back to Senna with the NSX..weird.

Yeah semtex, I figured it might have been Imola...makes me sad to think about it..

It should feel somewhat similar than the nsx actually, I'm surprised you find it harsh... also why ever would you replace an nsx with the Z?

I have the sport package and find the ride quite nice for the handling and tire choice/rim size. Every review I have read says about the same thing.
