Shoes make a difference. My thick-soled boots feel different than my normal work shoes or sneakers. And barefoot driving is something different altogether (I endorse trying it at least once).

Shoes make a difference. My thick-soled boots feel different than my normal work shoes or sneakers. And barefoot driving is something different altogether (I endorse trying it at least once). But you should be able to adjust to the difference in feel within a few minutes of driving. I usually just drive gently until I feel comfortable.
