Stock Nav install question

I searched but couldn't find....

I checked out a 40th and I love the car....so, the only 2 problems....

I wanted the illuminated kick plates but found that install :tiphat:

Can you get the stock nav installed with the connections for the ipod/etc. in the "stock place" between the seats? How much would this cost? I just like the look...I am not a fan of the huge hole in the center that is all :eekdance:

I really searched for these but haven't been here long so I probably missed something so please no :gtfo2: :excited:

How is the $720 destination charge? I have seen up to $765...they want $39,900 for the car...

Thank you all!

You are better off getting aftermarket audio/nav. Go to the audio video section here on the site.

^^ what he said, also 39k is overpriced, 40th's arent selling as well as they hoped. I paid 35,900+720 dest without trying, quite a few have gotten the same and better deals.

I was a bit disappointed the 40th in the States does not come equipped with the Nav unit, mainly because of the lack of iPod/iPhone integration. I casually inquired about getting the factory nav installed by the dealer and it is a very expensive and time-consuming proposition.

One day, I'll install an aftermarket NAV & audio system, but in the meantime, I had a local car audio shop install a module from USA Spec.

I am VERY pleased with this solution. They installed an iPod connector cable in the center console. Song, Artist & Album information appear on the display of the factory head unit. It works by utilizing the factory stereo's Sattelite radio connection, BUT you also keep sattelite functionality.

It only costs a couple hundred installed and has turned out to be an ideal solution for me. The only downside is that I can't change tracks using the controls on the steering wheel. After doing some research, other car makes and models (including some Nissans) work with the track-changing feature on the wheel, but I have yet to find a solution for the 370.

This is the one thing I wish I got in my car... I just haven't seen anything from the aftermarket field that looks great in the cubby.......

I even went to the dealer to see if I could somehow install the stock one :( :( :(

Knewrome,

Do you recall the time and actual price? I will check out The US SPEC....I will see about finding the solution as well.

I just like the look of stock in the space....

Buy the Canadian version. You get the Nav system, Daytime running lights, and rear fog too!!! :owned:

Dr. JD 06-02-2010 08:24 PM

WOW :eekdance: WTF is up with the price on the Canadian version!!! Almost all options = $58k.....:gtfo2:

umm... welcome to the great white north!

LOL You Americans have it so good you have NO IDEA how much the rest of the world pays for these cars! The US ALWAYS has the lowest prices in the world for vehicles.

My FULLY LOADED coupe was under $49000 before taxes and extras like window tinting etc. But we have a different version than you, more goodies as baseline and less choice. Is it worth it? yes, because we have no choice. We are not allowed to buy US versions because of the price difference and warranty issues (go figure). Even when the Canadian loonie is worth more than the greenback, we still pay more! They say it is because there are only 35 million of us to 300 million of you... buying power.

Well you have to pay for that free healthcare system of yours. Now that we've gone that route here in the states we can look forward to that new pricing structure on all of our goods and services. Yaaaaay. :ugh2:

Great point lol, we are screwed now :shakes head:

I am still looking for a close stock look but if not maybe I will go Canadian version
