What's the difference
Hello everyone,
The question I have, is there a big difference in a 350 vs 370 other than the body style. I have always been a fan of the Z line, and I like both body styles but I would rather save money over have the current body style. If I get a 350 it would be a 2006-08. Are there any problems or flaws with this model. Thanks in advance for you help. |
Pretty sure the 350z has a 3.5 liter v6, compared to the 3.7 in the new ones. Styling is also much improved, IMO.
I'm sure that there are several more differences, experts need to chime in! |
I'd say the biggest differences being..The engine, suspension, size, weight, quality...List goes on and on...I say get the 370z lol
|
There have been around a billion posts on this, but anyway:
I actually own both, unlike most of the people who will respond. The 370 is a little faster, better interior, but as many people have said, the 350 actually handles better. Save the money, buy a 350, invest the rest. http://www.the370z.com/members/frost...3-img-0154.jpg |
it seems like lately the first page of this forum has become full of redundant questions. |
Frost I like the advice and leaning in that direction. Since I have two other cars and a motorcycle. the Z will be just a toy.

There's no difference whatsoever. The supposed "body style difference" is nothing more than a visual cloaking device.

The 370Z hands down rocks the 350Z in the handling department, by a large margin. Not to be rude but are you sure you know what vehicle handling is? I mean you are sporting some giant SUV chrome wheels on your 350Z. |

It :owned:'s me everytime  Damn yous Frost! LoL :rofl2: |

The 370z rocks the 350 for handling, that is a fact that has been tested over and over again: Better slalom, better lateral G grip, taunter chassis dynamics, wider, lighter*, shorter wheel-base... Owned a 350, driven several 370s. While I loved my 350z, the 370 has been greatly improved in every aspect. Do whatever fits your budget.
|
While I do respect Frost... those 350 rims ARE hideous!
|
This is the same situation I was in. FWIW, in the end I bought a 2007 Enthusiast.

edit: I owned a 2005 350z and I now own the 09 370z and the 350z was a toy in comparison. It had the power and speed of a Corolla with nice handling. The 370z is a sports car, the 350z is a nice looking Corolla. |

Ouch... :wtf2: |
I don't normally like to get involved in these heated battles but I'm bored, and I'm curious to know why Frost thinks the 350 handles better than the 370.
Not to be mean, but post count measures "post count" nothing more nothing less. That's like saying I posted the most in a drag forum, that doesn't make me a better driver... |

I wouldnt own a 350.
Not my style, personally. But I absolutely love the 370's. |
I'm no pro either but i've owned both an 05 and now a 09.
models improve every year from one to the next as they should. but the 09 was a major upgrade from the 350.just as i'm sure the next z will be a total upgrade from the 370. there's not that much price difference between an 08 and 09 get the 370. |

I have 15K miles logged in my 350, 30k logged in my 350, and many track sessions logged in both. Everyone who knows me knows I've driven everything from a twin turbo gto, to a c6 corvette, to an 05 Honda RC51, and the opinion of people who didn't own a 350 means as much to me as as my wife's opinion on rim selection, which isn't a lot ;) Here's a post from another member I considered knowledgeable through our offline conversations, in which he said the 370 handling is "total crap" http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-g...0z-v-350z.html If you want to disagree, go ahead and do it. Bitching about my post count or my wife's wheels like a little cunt only suggests you have no real point to make :blows kiss: |

After getting my 370 i've never heard one positive comment from any 350 owner, they only want to talk about what they dislike about the 370. Jealously is a stinky cologne. |

The only 350Z owners I've interacted with since buying my 370Z have been more than kind. I get Z waves from them around town.

i've been over on those 350 boards when i had my 05.imo it was nothing but flame your a-- any time you would ask any question that
they didn't agree with or they thought was beneath them. but all 350 boards may not be that way. i think its called penis envy |
The 350Z owns the 370Z in handling? Really? I haven't owned a 350Z, but I driven a few and, as others have said, IMHO in stock form the 370Z handles much better - better around corners, better slalom, better (less) roll, better ... well, you name it...
No offense to anyone in particular intended... :) |
Sorry if I sound like a **** but ... does it really matter which one handles better?
They're both nice cars !!! |

I have no knowledge on how well the 350 really handles but if it does indeed handle better than a 370 (besides high speed highway) then that's impressive because the 370 handles pretty damn well stock. |
In auto-x the 350z guys can't keep up. I'm in the stock class so no mods really to talk about. All the 350z guys want a 370z and hate when I come out because they can't run the times I do. I'm no expert either and have only been doing auto-x for a year. I run the fastest typically in BS except for one guy in his STI with sticky tires.
I've driven the 350z several times as well as other Z's from different eras. Hell I own a modified 280z and 300zx. Hands down the 370z handles the best, in my opinion. I'd like to see some data that shows the 350z handles better because all the current data supports the 370z is better in the corners. |
