Are you a man. If you answer yes then you are NOT allowed to drive a s2000.

I know this guy who is like 250 pounds and is 6'3 and drives a s2000 or miata (i honestly can't tell the difference) and I want to slap him in the face everytime I see him.

Just because.
I couldn't agree more. I test drove the S2000 before I purchased my Roadster. I felt like Stewart Little in the S2000, with my body sticking way out. (I am 6 foot and 210 lbs.) The Roadster just fits me better. A lady I work with is having a similar mid-life crisis and she bought an S2000. She looks great in it.

Are you saying you're too wide for the car or too tall? Because plenty for 6'2"-6'3" drivers can fit the s2000 just fine.

I like the S200 , but there is only so much you can do with 162lbs of torque

could always turbo it if you want more torque. You can easily get around 300ft lb torque from a turbo s2k.

I've driven plenty of AP2 S2000's and none felt like they were really "lacking torque". The AP2's pull pretty well from 4500rpms all the way up to 8200rpms. You also got to consider the low curb weight (~ 2800lbs or about 450lbs lighter than a 370z) and World class 6 speed manual transmissions. The optimal height / weight for being able to truly enjoy an S2k are probably between 5’6 – 5’10 and 120-165lbs; it wasn’t designed for big fat Americans obviously. I suppose one might be bitter (because they are great cars) if they don’t fit well in one but that’s no reason to call it a “girls car”.

Yeah, keyword "FIT" that doesn't mean their going to be comfortable and enjoy the ride.

I remember back in the day when my room mate and I went to test drive an S2K. He's like 6'2- 6'3 and had to bend his neck sideways just fit in; he was cramped all to hell. Me being just 5'9 fit in the S2k like a glove and enjoyed driving it. The S2K definitely isn’t for everyone when it concerns being able to accommodate.

ok let me break it down for you. I've gone on many other forums to read user experiences. If you're that tall, move the seat forward a click or two and angle the seat back to lean, so you're not sitting straight up looking all stiff.

Many people over 6' fit COMFORTABLY.

No, I did not need to bend my neck, but I felt strange with the top down like my entire body was on display. (Not a pretty sight either.) Also, I have broad shoulders and it felt more like a coach airplane seat. The 370Z roadster had better proportions to my body size and the seat felt much better. The seat was tight enough to keep me in position while cornering, but not too restrictive for everyday driving.

That is the key for me, this is my everyday ride to work. I felt like the S2000 would not be as comfortable.

Of course, I am biased. I love the Z. I smile every time I drive, even going to work in the morning.

You should re-read my post... the comparison WAS between the 350Z and the S2K (both 2004 ragtops).

"Let you break it down for me"? Break what down? My roommate at 6'2 -6'3 DID NOT sit COMFORTABLY in an S2K. The S2K wasn't designed to accommodate large / tall American body’s period. The perfect physique for an S2K is around 5'8-5'9 and 150lbs or so. People as big as my roommate (6’3 @220+lbs) don't fit well in S2K's with the top up no matter how hard you try. It was hilarious looking at my roommate driving that thing (S2K)! He just looked so retarded in that little roadster!
