I've driven plenty of AP2 S2000's and none felt like they were really "lacking torque". The AP2's pull pretty well from 4500rpms all the way up to 8200rpms. You also got to consider the low curb weight (~ 2800lbs or about 450lbs lighter than a 370z) and World class 6 speed manual transmissions. The optimal height / weight for being able to truly enjoy an S2k are probably between 5’6 – 5’10 and 120-165lbs; it wasn’t designed for big fat Americans obviously. I suppose one might be bitter (because they are great cars) if they don’t fit well in one but that’s no reason to call it a “girls car”.

I remember back in the day when my room mate and I went to test drive an S2K. He's like 6'2- 6'3 and had to bend his neck sideways just fit in; he was cramped all to hell. Me being just 5'9 fit in the S2k like a glove and enjoyed driving it. The S2K definitely isn’t for everyone when it concerns being able to accommodate. |

That is the key for me, this is my everyday ride to work. I felt like the S2000 would not be as comfortable. Of course, I am biased. I love the Z. I smile every time I drive, even going to work in the morning. |
