Pop out of first?
 

Hey guys,

So I was driving my car the other day and came to a stop at a red light on a hill. I was waiting for the light to change so I had the car in neutral. I put it into first gear and while I started to take my foot off the clutch it started to pop into neutral. When I realized I put it back into first and left with no problem.

Do you guys think this is just a freak occurrence? I haven't had it happen since. But obviously I'll keep an eye on it. I had no problems throughout the day driving afterwords. I'm hoping it just wasn't in the gear position all the way?

i wouldn't worry about it. you probably didnt enter the 1st gate completely.

That's what I was thinking. But sometimes it's nice to hear it from someone else. haha

Yeah, every once in a while I try to push it into 1st and it goes halfway in and stops like its been pushed all the way into first. I have a good feel for how long the stroke is to get it into first so I just pull it out and push it back in with no problem.
