Every state is different, It is illegal in pretty much every state I believe. Some states including Texas allow you to have it in a collection only. It's absolutely illegal to carry on you, or in an automobile. Which is really idiotic to me, I can legally carry a handgun in my glovebox, but not a switchblade? 
There are alot of jackasses walking around in the world, and I should have the right to protect myself via knife, esp when I can do it with a gun. IMO
