But I couldn't just leave it at that. I went around the block slowly.

why do you do this? you're going to have vapor in the midpipe (exhaust) and your oil temp is too low to get the moisture out of the engine. you're also putting burden on your battery and alternator. if you're going to fire her up, go drive it at least until your oil temp is 180F (15min or so minimum).

or do it like us. dont start the car at all, leave it plugged in, placed on flatstoppers.

Well that is part of the reason I went around the block. I intend to drive it as the weather permits (which hasn't been cooperating lately) so I do not want to winterize. Its tough to get the oil up to 180 when its 20 degrees out no matter how you do it.
I appreciate the concern though.
