Between the carnage at Best Buy and the accident on I-81S funneling Holiday traffic onto RT22 in Colonial Park, I was glad to be shleppin' around in an old Ford Ranger with a Glock sticker on the back window

hey i actually MOTORED MY Z TODAY! yah, i did the steering lock replacement (check out the DIY section) and tried out the PWJDM knob. looks moronic here but this is because i didnt feel like working on the knob today and just placed it over the nismo knob's rubber piece. the knob feels good, but the decorative strip in the middle eats at my hand... any way to smooth this thing out a little without using sand paper or a file? |

here's the link:
DIY: Replace dreaded steering-lock on 2009s and early 2010s. i kept the original in my trunk with a 12mm socket and flash light so i can replace it as needed within like 3min. haha |

Yup, it does look a little retarded!
Tougher hands will fix that problem right up! You're welcome! In all seriousness, I didn't have any issues with the pattern, but I'm a palm shifter.

Just got back from Dallas and Christmas with the family. Counted eleven Z's on the round trip, mainly Z33's.
Walked into the garage to check on the Z where it has been parked since Thursday, and just stood and admired her for a few minutes. Beautiful car! Happy Holidays all!

yep, it wouldn't matter. in fact, in my pict where i compare the one from the car and the new one, the one from the car is in it's locked position as it should since the car was turned off.
no issue removing it as you would pull the unit off vertically after removing the 2 bolts. |

not sure on yours, but mine is pretty rough... like almost burrs of steel. i think im going to mask off the brushed part and carefully just file it down. i wore gloves while driving today and it literally shredded it a little.
