happy Thursday, mr. onzedge!

today not much car action but some music software for my mac is coming. i bought the macbookpro as my photography computer...now it's running dual HD's inside (via removing optical drive and replacing esata 2.5" HD) and so now, it's 1/2 photography, 1/2 music.

good to hear your cover's inline. i noticed on the quick silver instructions they say to put the front on first and rear last, but i always do the front at the end cause the front of the car is narrower and less bulky than the rear (less friction to the paint).

I always start with the mirrors, then rear, then front last.

cool, me too. im doing it right then.

then when i roll up, i pull up the front, then rear, fold the sides first towards the center of the roof (usually need to fold twice per side), then roll it from the back to the front with clean surface on the outside.

when the clean surface on the outside i can just pull out of the bag and place it on the car, unroll and wrap. ... good?

When I remove it I loosen the front, undo the mirrors, then I roll it to the back.

I never had a problem putting the cover on a dirty car, it didn't transfer the dirt from the car to the cover or anything like that. You don't need to only cover it after it's clean, you can cover it even if it's pretty dirty (but knowing you it will never get to that state )

huh, i'd be kinda worried about grit rubbing while placing the cover onto a dirty car, but heck you have more experience with covers so ok! hahaha.

on my Z i will only be placing it on during hibernation, so the paint will be fully clean and waxed. (maybe on rainy windy days i might put it on before opening the garage since it was so easy to put it on and off into the bag).

It swirls the dirt around and makes it look bad but it doesn't damage the paint from what I have seen.

Lucky you that you have a garage, I will make sure the house I buy has a really nice garage/driveway and I will have to hit you up for advice on what tools/work benches to buy

yah, im not much of a house person (or into gardening) but i knew i had to have a decent sized garage so i looked for one with a wide 2.5 car garage.
3 car garage would've been even better but again, im not into houses or gardening so i decided to just get the one i have now and pay it off quick.

wife and i are almost done paying it off... if it wasnt for the crappy economy we have enough cash to pay off the house today, but dont want to use part of the savings we built up just in case something happens to one of us.

i dont plan on moving up to a larger house any time soon either. my neighbors are very cool (very important), kids school and afternoon programs are very good, nice quiet community as long as my indian neighbor down the street with a green yaris leaves me alone , etc.
