I drove it to work and pondered whether to park and get sap or pine needles.

Kenchan, he probably really meant to say lips because you have to order them in pairs because they either fall off or mystically explode while driving.

LOL

Case in point:

What remains of my second one...

just raise the front (put the car on ramps), remove the bottom cover, and make new holes from the bottom into the bumper.

Yes... the bumper came off and it took about 30 mins or so for me to line it up properly and drill the pilot holes through the lip and the bumper. I also removed the factory sport lip because it got in the way.

Acutally, I used 16 bolts and nuts along the entire bottom of the bumper.

What was bolted on stayed. Everything else exploded.

And just so you know,

The first Splitter that I had, I used nothing but the screws and tape that came with it from Stillen and the lip magically vanished off my car while driving one night. At least the one I bolted on KIND OF stayed on.

I get home and it was just gone... It's a good thing they are cheap. lol

wait, how did everything explode? did you hit something?

so the bolts and everything were all still in the bumper, however the plastic broke off?

Correct.

I ran through some road construction, hit a bump and boom... I was watching plastic in my rear view mirror come out from under my car.

The plastic part that was bolted to the bumper was there, but everything that stuck outwards broke off.

There wasn't anything in the road for me to run over, but it was a gnarly bump.
