btw, i can't find the Neutral Density filter at B&H.... where to buy such filter lens?
I can't get on the B&H website for some reason, but here's a link to a local shop I go to. There are different kinds depending on how dark you want to go, but the one below allows you to adjust. I usually go with Hoya, but I don't think they make a variable ND filter.

Polaroid 52mm HD Multi-Coated Variable Range Neutral Density Filter

Just know that because your allowing less light in with a ND filter, your shutter speed will need to be longer to achieve a correct exposure. You might need a tripod or at least a flat surface to keep your images sharp.

Note: Don't confuse with the graduated neutral density filter which has only has half the filter dark.

Also, I would take some shots without buying the filter first to see if you really need it. You'll get better results buying a book on photography than any filter. You could get away with just adjusting how your camera exposes the image. It's where one subject could underexposed and another could be overexposed in the same frame that filters come in handy.... or if you want to capture blurred movement in bright situtations like a waterfall.

thanks! i will check this out for sure.

been reading the reviews on amazon for the D3000... one thing that's not going to work for me on the D3000 right off the bat is that it cant show the image on the LCD view finder live.. so im now looking at the D5100 instead...

any recommendations from Canon? i dont want to spend too much but i dont want to spend on a crappy camera either... (per mr.onzedge recommendation...get a tad more than intended budget)

T3 isn't bad. $600 at target online.

D3100 is the way to go though. Paid $650 with 18-55 and 55-200... And you get the live view....

Edit: t3 for $540 at amazon temporarily.

yah, been reading so many reviews im starting to get tired. hahaha.

bascially im going to rely on auto-mode and want live view. im a newb and dont know any of the features so want something very simple like a point and shoot, yet better quality images. budget around under $1K. i want to be able to enjoy it for a few yrs before getting the real camera i will keep for a long time.

You can't go wrong with either one. Both companies make really good SLR's. The Nikon "feels" better IMO. Go to a shop or even Best Buy to see which one you like better. Also, the thing with DSLR's is at least they tend to hold their value a lot longer. When your ready to upgrade, you can easily get back most of your investment & use towards a better one.

Live View isn't all that handy for DSLR's actually and you get a better sense of how the image should be framed using a viewfinder. Nice to have but not a deal breaker. Usefull if your doing any macro photography or any video though.

Go for the D5100 if you can. I believe the D3100 has live view also.

Nikon and Canon are pretty equal. I have a Canon DSLR only because I have always had Canons with excellent results.

Reinstalling my painted door handles. Finish de-badging the car (370z and Nismo emblems). Install the black Nissan emblems (Hood and rear deck) that I purchased from Diasuke when they arrive Friday/Saturday......

Droped it off at the stealership for Maintenace Pkg #2

$400 later, got my baby back

- Oil Change, air cabin filter change, brake maintenance and I got an alignment among all the other stuff tested

Anyways, changing to Amsoil for next oil change and will be doing it myself!

I had a great Z day. Drove 600 miles today, half with the top down. Had to test drive a firetruck that my department wants to buy. I was me and the dept president. I didn't really know how far away it was but hey always up for a road trip on a sunny day. Quite a bit of road construction but no big holes and didn't scrape once. Only problem is the bugs on the car but hey that happens when you drive your car, eh Have to clean the car tomorrow. Oh sorry ken don't have a camera post.

I had someone take rig shots, he attached a pole to my hood and I drove around. I should have some pics in a week or so.
