Thanks guys. That means much to me, coming from you. I am giving my 370 a rest for a little while and am going old school back to my former DD.

The 240? I put more money into restoration stuff than mods over the years, it seems. Here is a partial mod list:
  • All bushings are Suspension Techniques urethane
  • Front and rear MSA sway bars
  • Front and rear MSA strut braces
  • Aluminum radiator and electric fans
  • Tokico Illumina springs and dampers
  • Momo Monte Carlo steering wheel
  • E-31 head with oversized (P-90) valves
  • Mildly built cam
  • Fidanza flywheel
  • Centerforce II clutch
  • 6-2-1 header and Dynaflow exhaust
  • Short steering knuckles with bump steer spacers

I have a Borg Warner T-5 that is going in this summer as soon as I find a reasonable condition R-200 diff with the right gears (3.83 or 3.90). I am also going to replace the front and rear control arms with custom built ones from Techno Toy tuning. Last, I am strongly considering stroking one of the spare F54 blocks (from a 280zx) in August because I always wanted 230 + hp in this Z.

Thanks for asking. I am sure I am leaving out stuff, but this is a representative list.

Kewl Z onze. I traded my extrememly modded 76 280z this year. I had replaced bushings with poly bushings, lowered 1 1/2", had custom Bonspeed rims with Kuhmo tires. Roll bar, custom gauges, battery in trunk. I swapped in a 406ci SBC with trick flow heads, edelbrock fuel injection and nitrous, turbo 350 trans. I put in a safety fuel cell, race kirkey race seats and 5 point 3" harnesses. The body was custom with molded body kit including rear wheel wells, a custom cowl induction hood and roof scoop. Oh h/p 400 on engine only, 500 with NOS.

Analyzing on how to lower the tips of my F.I. so I can fit the EVO-R rear valance.

Just pop a few washers under the three bolts that secure the exhaust hangers to body and you're all set!
(Depending on how many washers you decide to add, you may need longer bolts)

Yep, wat Luna said.

Motored my Z again today and had a great time. I think all the lowend bozo's were still asleep from heavy drinking and so roads were clear from those dumbarses that drive slow on sunny days and fast on rainy crap days.

Well that was my initial thought.

However, what I was analyzing is since the F.I. sits close to the ground. I was thinking if in the future I decide to lower the car if is going to scrape and damage the F.I.

Yah, that unit is close to the ground. I gave my fujimura rear valance about 7-8mm clearance. No issue with melting but I don't track the car..
