Tested out a free GPS iPhone app on the way home called Waze. It worked really well and you just can't beat the price. It's interesting in that it has a social aspect to it. If your average speed drops below a certain range, it asks you if there's an accident or some other element causing the congestion. This input automatically notifies all other Waze users in the area of the issue. There is also input for intersection cameras and speed traps where police are hiding out.

Since we are on the topic of washing cars, what can I use to strip the wax off? I want to get a fresh start and figured I could strip the wax off, clay it, and then rewax the car. Any thoughts or suggestions?

i use a product called Griot's PaintPrep. i dont use dawn or any dish soap.
in my case after washing the car (or QD), i mist the panel with water, then spray paintprep, followed by another mist of water and wipe off with a soft MF towel. it completely removes any sealants or wax. i do that panel by panel as i polish or wax/seal the paint. |
