No overspray on the M37. It wasnt windy and i was spraying from a short distance. The newspaper around the wheels barely got any overspray

As far as plasti dipping, how is the durability of that, esp on rims where they can get hot from both engine heat and braking???
Plasti dip is good to maybe 200f. Your brakes will get over 600f on a decent cruise.

I mean, after a commute, they should be ok. But if you take the back roads, they will be getting toasty.

I have my rear valance plasti dipped, no problems from exhaust heat. Rims should hold up. While researching the uses of plasti dip on automobiles I came across many people doin rims w it. As far as durability I hear its actually more chip resistant than spray paint due to its rubbery nature.

excellent info! btw, does the plasti-dip lose that sticky feel after it's completely dry?

be kind of difficult to clean wheels with that.

Glad to hear there's no problems with the plasti dip on rear valence from exhaust, that's my upcoming weekend project! How long have you had it plasti-dipped?

I have had it plasti dipped for about a week and a half. Make sure you let dry. Removing the masking was difficult for me. Since its a rubbery substance it kinda stuck to the tape as I was peeling. I feel that letting it dry all weekend would have made removal easier.

Ken, yes after a few days of curing it gets hard. At first I was worried about the stickiness too. Thats what made the masking removal so hard, it was still like elastic. Im sad about your bad experience. I really feel like its a decent product. Especially if you arent totally committed to doin something, like blacking out your fangs and valance like I was. It gave me the comfort of knowing removal was possible if I didnt like it

Ken, you may have a slight misconception with respect to the wifi OBDII scanners. They are real time, but can be laggy...like sometimes one to two secs behind. With that being said, it's cool for gathering data and getting trending info. also, not all apps are created equally. Some are more memory intensive than others and may be a bit less laggy. I've only gotten to play with a couple of them.

Finally dropped my car off at my friend's house tonight. Hopefully, the exhaust will be fixed and the intake piping with the new intercooler will be done in time for Cars and Coffee Saturday morning...my dad is actually wiling to go to a car event with me for the first time ever!
