Count me in for the emblems (front and rear) - I like the new Z format over the 350Z one - if you want to go old school and maybe cover up the nubs underneath maybe something like this from the old Z's?

Maybe you could make the squiggly in the center more horizontal and slighly larger to cover things up. Just an idea.

PLEASE NO!!!

The emblem needs to match the (Z) that is already on the car. Not squiggly or shaped differently!

NEW Z LOGO ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so far I have the Z emblem drew just like the

except it's the new Z emblem.

But I am trying to work out a design that will cover all the nubs....the hardest part is I don't really have the dimension for the nubs unless I take my own emblem off - which I kinda wanna NOT do.

Will anyone here be nice enough to provide the dimensions for me? (see following picture)

I would like to know the dimension for the following nubs....

Unless of course, I can always fill out the whole inside Oval with a thinkness...which i kinda don't wanna do....at the same time, I kind of don't want to distort the "Z" logo to fit over the nubs

It should match this as best as the machining process will allow.

You could leave the (Z) large and just add this behind it to cover the stock holes and dimples. I don't know if you you can do it at different depths? You know, have the (Z) stick out the most, then the frame and center bar would be underneath it giving it depth and contrast.

One more thought, what about doing it as one piece? Where it would be cut out it can just be recessed. Then it could be painted black to contrast it or people could have it color matched. Some people may even leave it all machined as one color? It gives more options anyways.

Once you get the front and rear embelems worked out. The next thing I would sugest is "z" embelem wheel caps. Just to continue removing the word "Nissan" from the outside of the car. The "z" is such a special car that anyone who matters knows it's a Nissan.

Here's what I have so far...but obviously it won't work because it doesn't cover the nubs (unless of course you decide to shave it off)....I'll try to work on matching it as close to the side markers as possible. I personally wanna get away from the Hamburger style as possible. I'll just make fill up the foot print of the stock Nissan emblem.

EDIT:
I added some fillets to the "Z" logo on the edges...just a very minor touch up.

Here's an update on the "Z" emblem....I improved the "Z" and put some draft angle along the sides, also if you look at the cross section of it (side view), you notice I also put 2 curve lines running down from the split line. This should look almost identical to the 370z OEM emblem. With this Z emblem I can resize and reuse it to wherever.....i.e. wheel hub caps. Check it out....Enjoy!

Who dig this? I have the center hollowed part filled...but it's height is offset from the top of the Z logo. And i also have the center part blacked out....

I LOVE your examples. I actually like it better without the black out for the front and with the black out for the rear.

Unfortunately, I still need to fill it with something because it needs to cover up the nubs (from bumper)....I can remove the black color and just have it bare metal look...

Anybody got more ideas?
