Just a general question on mileage
Just wondering how many miles a year you guys put on your car.
Is it a daily driver are just taken out on the weekends. Does putting miles on your ride bug you or does it matter. To me you buy em to drive em. But i know there is two trains of thought just wondering. I will put about 18 to 20,000 miles a year on mine.:driving::driving: |
I put 19,000 miles in 1 year. No regret what so ever.
I put 10,500 since the end of October when I bought the car (even after having it sit in a shop for weeks getting repainted). Also, don't regret it at all. My commute is about 70 miles each day, and I still drive it around as much as I can when I'm not working.
I figure I do plan on keeping the car for a long time if they don't release a new Z, but eventually it will share the garage with another car. Perhaps a GTR, if they still exist by the time I'm ready to do that in 5 or so years. |
I used to be hung up on the mileage thing and coming out of highschool I bought my first commuter car, boy I felt like I made the right move. Now that I'm older mileage doesn't matter that much to me, life becomes shorter as you age. If you take real good care of your cars they will still look and drive good down the road.

1yr of ownership and I'm just a tick over 6k
It's my daily driver, and she rests most of the weekends. |
been a year and 2 weeks, got my 'its your 1 year anniversary' call 2 weeks ago, and just a smidge of 5k, its not my dd tho. so worth every penny and low every mile put on the car.
I trudge through my day to day in my truck, and grocery-get in my girlfriend's car, so the 370Z is for maybe once a week commute on Fridays and on the weekend if I'm not hauling mulch for the garden or some such chores. Some weekends, I've got Navy Reserve duty and I don't normally use it for that either because I don't trust those parking lots. In other words, the Z is special. I've had it for 6 months now and it has about 1800 miles. The good part is that its going to be with me for a long time this way.

About to hit 6k. Got the car mid Feb. and it's a daily driver.

had mine since last July, about to hit 17k, drove completely across the country and back, still roarin' like a champ.
In detail: Nine point five miles from work. Nuff said!
I had my z for exactly about a month and I ran 1200 miles. So guestimating about 14~15K per year.
My last car ran 24K in 3 years... Acura TL but was boring car to drive. Since my Z purchase it seems like im looking for an excuse to go sometwhere. lol |
11 months and I just hit 10k last week.
i think i'm at about 7800mi. Bought it at the end of December.
14,100, had it slightly over a year. Alternate between it and the Max...I like to drive and do things so my cars will have miles on them
Just hit 10K yesterday and I got her last July. Its kinda funny, I actually think up stuff to do so I can put more miles on her, or take the long way to where ever Im going. She really is like my second GF, I love being inside her. haha
2,700km in the first month so far. 600km this weekend alone. I f'n love driving this car.
10 minutes from work and don't drive the car everyday especially in the Winter, so maybe 5K at year.
Got mine back in Oct of 09 and it has about 4.3k miles on it.
Drove it off the lot in early Feb. 2010 and it has about 6300mi on it, not a daily driver either, just can't seem to keep the wife and 18yr. old boy out of it!
I average around 10K a year.
