Having owned a Corvette, and now the Z, the Z is tighter and has better fit-and-finish. It also has nicer steering...better weighted with more feel. Seats are better, too. Suspension

Having owned a Corvette, and now the Z, the Z is tighter and has better fit-and-finish. It also has nicer steering...better weighted with more feel. Seats are better, too. Suspension feels more sophisticated.
The Corvette's V8, however, is the better motor, IMO...smooth, powerful, sonorous and even offers decent mileage (nearly 30 mpg highway). Also, I preferred the Corvette's clutch...the Z's is just too light and lacks feel. They're both nice cars. I think the C7, whenever it debuts, will be a heck of a car. The Corvette only needs a few tweaks to be truly great. |
