Whining Noise - UPDATE!!!
First off, you guys in this forum ROCK!
On my third attempt at my THIRD dealer, I am finally getting my car fixed. THanks to the guys that helped me out! THe dealer in Richmond gave me the part # to take to my local guy and THEY ARE ORDERING A NEW ECU FOR ME!!! It has to be the one ending in B. THey are also fixing my hatch! So, if you're in the Raleigh area, DEFINITELY check out Crossroads Nissan. THEY ROCK. Didn't even question the issue I'm having, just said yep, we'll get the part and get it fixed! I will post a photo of the workorder when it's fixed next week. THANKS AGAIN GUYS!! |

How do you check?
I heard the noise for the first time two times ago...my hearing in that area is poor (musician), so when I hear it, I can, when I can't - I can't...just want to make sure I heard it, and not something else... |

Billy,
I also read the other thread about needing the A, but I spoke with two people and a second dealer and they confirmed the B is the correct one! Here is the part number they gave me: NIZ3710-1EA3B or it can end in 4B as well. I think it was a Z, my writing was terrible so I'll post a copy of the work order once the car is all fixed. Thanks again to Bumblez, his guy in Richmond is the bomb digity! |

Ok folks, as promised, here is a copy of my workorder recept showing the new ECM and the springs....good luck to those of you still trying to get it fixed! And, if you're in the NC area, definitely look up my dealer....they were awesome! |

Heres a question for ya...
I think I heard this whine one time, but i have not heard it since making me think that i was hearing something else... BUT regardless of that... For those of you who are tuned and you get this ecu change done, will they burn the ROM you have on your ECU onto the new one, no right ? You will have to re-tune ? Kinda sucks if my car does develop this noise... im right around 10k miles and already tuned... Ill be shelling out more money, and you will prob have to get your UpRev license pulled from the car prior to the warranty work, than loaded back on and re tuned. Kinda stinks
