Hey All! I added the TS front lip to my car and lowered it amoung other things. The front air dam was taken off, but the smaller air dam flaps

I added the TS front lip to my car and lowered it amoung other things. The front air dam was taken off, but the smaller air dam flaps remain. They occasionally scrape speedbumps and low surfaces on the road. I want to take them off but am not sure what they do. What do those do? Is it really neccesary for me to keep those??
