But yeah, they can't be happy considering how the GT vs. V6 environment was. GT owners used to rag on the V6 models like mad because they were always at least 2 seconds faster from the factory. Now they've got a V6 that can dip into the 13s stock... pretty wild considering my 2002 V6 automatic could only do 16s stock!!!:tup: |
thought the new mustang was a lot lighter, especially the v6 models moving from iron block to alum.
|
May be a little bit lighter than the 2010 GT because of the engine, but that's not enough to compensate for the GT's extra power and torque. Not to mention the lowest gear you can get on the V6 is a 3.31 with the performance package. Standard is a 2.73.
Ford was careful to make sure the V6 wasn't too quick. I have to say, though, that V6 should respond pretty damn well to bolt-ons! |
...but seriously...
|
Well the 2011 ford v6 is a huge upgrade in hp. Especially the V8 GT.
Come on 370 how about a power boost. Let's follow ford mustang direction. Quote:

glad to see we get a win.

I think the 4.6 & now 5.0 have been mostly alum blocks for awhile, it was the 5.4L in the GT500 which still was a heavy block. |
that might be it dreamer
|
The new GT500 is impressive. It dropped 9 seconds off it's lap time at VIR with the new improvements!
