My 40th QuartZ seems to attract wasps and other bugs..

Since I've had my Quartz, I've had 3-4 run in's with wasps refusing to stay away from the paint! This has occurred at different locations over the past 3 weeks..

I've never had this issue with my previous car (which was a black 370Z) so I know for sure that it's not because the wasps like this particular model of Nissan...

Anyone else got a case of 'Near-fatal attraction' to their Z's particular color?

you mean them flying into your path of awesome?

What wax are you using?

I also think 40th quart Z attracts all those bugs out there, I had like 20 killed bugs on my front bumper for running 5 secs of full gas pedal. I was like WTH...

I haven't applied any wax as yet as I've had it for less than a month.

Maybe it is whatever is on the car from the dealer..hmmm..

I'm still using the same car stuff that I was using on my last car....

Might just be coincidence..

Its an omen for abandoning your black 370z. Lmao!

Remove the wax dealer put on. You can use Griot's PaintPrep or choose to use some plain dawn dish soap.

Rewax.

I recently took my Z(black) on a 3 1/2 hour trip to see my sister graduate college. On the way there, An huge group of gnats or small bees ran into my car at 70 mph.

Apparently they were some sort of cult, and my windshield was the kool-aid.

kenchan 05-17-2010 12:44 PM

jesse- make sure you clean your radiator too. :D
