Anyone go from a Corvette to a 370??

Vette=raw power/better performance. Z=reliability/a bit less performance. I appreciate reliability over raw power, so I got me a Z...BTW!!!, the latest April Auto Issue of CR tells the following tale:

I appreciate reliability over raw power, so I got me a Z...BTW!!!, the latest April Auto Issue of CR tells the following tale: '04. '06, '08 Zs are "Better Than Average"; the '05, '07 ones are "Average". The 370 is too new to be rated, yet, but it seems it'll fluctuate between "Better Than Average" and "Much Better Than Average"...SWEET!!!

Greetings from rainy Puerto Rico, dudes!

Plus, Corvettes in general don't have a lot of road feel, especially at low speeds. Puttering around in them is a bit boring. But, if you have the right area to run them, they do perform.
Completely. Vettes need room to run. Around town it's like driving the Queen Mary. I've always gotten more pleasure out of driving a lesser HP car at 8/10ths than a big HP car at 3/10ths....

Had a 07 C6 and a 08 now. The only things needed were tires, brakes, brake fluid and oil for track events.

hahaha i might not have owned a vette, but from the postings i guess i can liken the experience to how a mini or integra type-r would be more fun at low speeds with lots of twisties than something that cant put the power down in tight corners like a viper.

its very annoying to be really ginger with the pedal keeping the rear end in check while barely revving the engine. a redlining screaming "weak" car would be so much more fun.

I don't think they're that high maintenance compared to E46 M3, 03-05 Z, etc. However, some replacement parts do cost a LOT more than the Z including the tires.

from a C6 Z06 to a Z?

I would NOT do it to be honest. Z06 is a different beast compared to the Z in almost every category.

Sure on paper, but have you driven a C6 Z06?

I just did. I likes it quite a bit. More comfortable all around, IMO.

Nope, I have driven the a regular C6 which is a step above the Z when it comes to acceleration. The Z06 competes with the most expensive supercars out there, you don't really need to drive it to admit it is a faster car than Z... Let's not turn this forum into a my350z.com board.

Thanks....
