just my .2 cents
Meh... what if you're in the middle of nowhere or if you're a mile from your house? It's really not that big of a deal.

That's the clutch out of a 2001 Mustang Cobra, BTW.

Yeah but the op said its for people that know. Newbs go research... then he is confusing double clutching with clutchless shift. It makes him look stupid lmao!

Anywayyyy... if he posted some kind of link for the newbs to get the info and not try to sound like hey I'm Mr. Know sh1t... he wouldn't be gettin ragged on. I normally hate to see people gettin ragged but this one is well deserved. Lol.

Just quote Toretto and get it over with. Maybe you'll be the 10,000,000th person to do so.

Applying these principles I discovered that a 6MT with syncro-rev engaged can downshift (and up-shift most times) without the clutch.

Try this.

1. from 5th gear push the clutch in.(or just pul the gear lever w/o the clutch)
2. next move the gear lever into neutral.
3. let the clutch out.
4. now without depressing the clutch push the gear lever to 4th gear.
5. Viola! The syncro-rev blips the throttle and the lever falls into 4th without needing to clutch in!
is this your first MT car?

wat a useless technique. double clutching is good when you need to get into first from 2nd while still moving forward and your syncro locks you out...or after you stop to get into reverse.

i thought you were downshifting without the use of your clutch... now that i would've been interested in reading how you had to get a new tranny.

Or if your syncros are gone and you want to keep your gears from grinding while operating the car.

That's where double clutching would come in.

The op was wanted to explain clutchless downshifting using the syncro-rev and not double clutching, so it makes sense that he didnt explain the later. I dont see anywhere that he is confusing double clutching with clutchless shifting so this makes you look stupid lmao!

Anywayyyyyyyyy... he dosent have to put a link if he dosent want to, its his thread, and if you hate people getting ragged on why are you doing it? Lol.

Read this again. He's confusing the two.

How can you double clutch with a blown clutch???

True you cant, i was just referring to the first post, however OP is wrong there. Maybe he is confused because double clutching does lessen the wear on a clutch. (Correct me if im wrong). However double clutching is useless these days...

You are correct. Double clutching is pointless nowadays. Clutch less shifting is good to know how to do. OP must needs to get his facts straight before he starts telling people to research what he himself doesn't know.

AK please lock this thread
