370z with child car seat
hello to all...
im thinking of replacing a 370z over the 06 accord. just wanna know if theres a provation for the childs car seat at the back of the z... thanks... |
Have you looked at a 370Z yet? But to save your time it is a 2 seater along with that you cannot put a child seat in the front...keep your accord...
Save your money and buy one when your child is grown. :) Maybe look at a g37s which is the sedan version. |

for what its worth there is an anchoring point in the trunk for a child seat, I just went out and looked.
|
don't know about you guys, but my Z has a child seat anchor hook in the back, specifically for mounting a baby seat in the front. meaning no other passengers of course.

Please don't do it if you like your children. |
Techiniclly having a child seat in the front seat is illegal if you have a back seat. Only having one row would mean that its just a seat and not a front seat. Plus all two seaters would have to come with a huge disclamier saying that only adults can sit in that seat.... otherwise why do they have the airbag sensor if you are supose to be in booster seat until 4'11"

I've never heard of the word "provation" before, so I'm not exactly sure what you're asking.
2 previous posters are correct. 1.) The Z is a 2 seater. There is no "back". 2.) There is an anchoring point for a car seat to be placed in the front seat. While this is certainly not the ideal location for a baby (front seat of a sports car?), it's 100% possible, and legal, to have the car seat there. I believe I've read a few people use their Z to transport their kid short distances. I know I will have to at some point. |
Is there a way to shut down the passenger airbag for those thinking of using a car seat?
|
already has a sensor in it. the person has to weigh above 80 lbs for the airbag to be on.

If your child is in the passenger seat, as long as the passenger airbag X light is lit, that means that the passenger airbag is disengaged, and it's OK. I had to look in the manual to see if there was a switch I had to manually set, but it's all automatic with a sensor, as previously stated. I've driven with my boys (one at a time) in a booster seat several times. And you would not want to put a baby seat facing backwards...but check the manual for all the precautions.

I believe its 100 lbs that activates the airbags
|
As others have stated theres a teather point in the trunk. I always rode in the front seat when I was little. Even when I was in a booster seat or what not. I remember my father sticking his arm out to pin me back in the seat when he would have to slam on the breaks. I guess it's now a different world.
