Ester Oil have a shelf life?

I either heard or read somewhere that Ester oil has a shelf life. I can't remember what the time period was though.

I was surprised to hear that motor oil has a shelf life. But then again, I never thought about it before.

Does anyone know anything about this?

hmmm apparently amsoil has a shelf life of 5yrs.
