with all that power you'll probly want a heavier clutch.

Noted and noted. I will definitely not hesistate to overdo it a little bit if it will ensure better durability. This car will probably be my daily driver, so another headache will be street legality.

I'm thinking to do the wheels/brakes first, so the car is ready for winter. Next, the differential, then exhaust. After that, I'm thinking adding the coolers will be a good step to prep the car for the track. Hopefully I will be able to do this by the end of the year.

Also guys, keep in mind, this is actually my first car and I'm just learning as I go, so if you have advice for me or think I should do it differently, post or PM :D

As far as I know you cant upgrade the clutch of the 7AT as it....apparently doesn't have one

On a side note, a buddy of mine is saying that if I do the exhaust to prep for the TT, it will actually hurt the performace of the car until I install the TT kit? Apparently due to loss of backpressure? Anyone got more info on that?

you should be fine...just dont buy headers..the loss of backpressure can be tuned out on NA cars but i wouldn't spend the extra money if your going TT.

I havent heard of improved exhausts downgrading performance.

Oh if I it was a little closer than a couple thousand miles, I would. That's why I'm trying to figure out what parts to use first, then break it down into steps/stages. It's too early to bug Sam for advice right now, but I still might do it soon anyways. Maybe he will even help me find a local dealer here.

I may also stretch this project over 3+ years, for a few reasons. 1) parts are expensive when they just hit the market, always let the market play and let someone else be the guinea pig. 2) Its rather stressful financially to just jump into the fire. Believe me if I had the cash right here in my pocket, the Z wouldve already been on it's way to GTM :$

^^i agree..with a major build like that it would be best to leave it to your builder/tuner to choose the exhaust setup..the OTS exhaust we have available now might choke out...

I would save your $$$ for replacing the tranny once you get the SC/TT. God only knows how that A/T will hold up. Also, ever consider a swap/trade or selling your car to get the same car with sport? Might actually end up being more cost effective in the long run. You have a whole lotta work cut out just to get to the sport level.

Yeah the tranny strength does bug me a little, I will seek some professional advice regarding it.

Well guys, it seems all my questions so far have been answered, I'm off to research the price ranges for the parts, and hopefully later on this year I will do the first upgrades! Of course I have to talk to my dealer about honoring the warranty as well :) I'll give out rep once I'm back at home on my pc..
