still waiting for the pict for evaluation...

I honestly don't see the problem here. If she doesn't want to get in, good for you!! She's just not going to be around to ****block you from getting much better poon tang. There's a brighter side to everything.

Time to dump the girlfriend. Give her a Dirty Sanchez first.
|
Need pics of gf

I have a 2010 G37 sedan. Ask if she wants to trade up! ;)

Never said anything about the doors or the hood, obviously those are aluminum. I still stand by that the Hatch is plastic though. |
put a NASA sticker on the car and tell her it was engineered by NASA.
|
are u serious?..let her choose..walk or ride..haha

The 350Z had a 5-star crash test rating, but I don't know if that was front, rear, or whatever. I doubt Nissan made a large step back with the 370Z. Also, my insurance premiums are slightly less for my 370Z compared to my 2008 350Z.
And the hatch is aluminum, not plastic. |
yah, just go to officedepot and get those stars teachers use and put 5 of them on the side windows. now it's officially safe.
|
just have her put on a helmet and some elbow pads and all is good.
|
dont forget the scuba goggles and snorkel. never know when she might need it.

Sounds like a front to me. She probably looks at it as "she's too good to be caught riding in a Nissan"...seeing as she is in the Mercedes BMW bracket. She thinks you downgraded out of her "acceptable standard" and now is coming up with excuses why she doesn't want to ride in it.

or she's just too fat she can't fit? (no lowering kit required).

Just tell her God knows THE date we're gonna go, no matter where we are (in bed, in the tub, in an Armada...Or in a Z!) Tell her to r-e-l-a-x and enjoy this very brief life, and to just prepare for the next one! Greetings!
|
me and females dont get along very well so im not gonna give any realtionship advice, all i have to say is she better be hot, cuz this is bs!

Some people feel claustrophobic is the Z just because it is a cozy cabin. I've had that comment a couple of times from people jumping in.
|
you ever tell a woman to "relax" when she's mad?...they love that..hahah!

Would she still not get in the car if you were driving a Ferrari 458 Italia??
|
Weight
Food for thought...our beloved Zs weigh 50 pounds more than a new Camry. It may be small but it's built like a vault and would probably tear through several mid-level vehicles like tin foil (as Doc Brown would say).

try to get her just to drive around the block with you-take it nice and easy....? |

Women always fear a small car as being un-safe... then boast about SUV's... not realizing a unibody construction is better than a frame on structure during impact.
Aluminum serves a good purpose of being light weight, but is also a lot more ductile than steel, and generally can crush more than steel, keeping the ride down curves flatter. basically take a can of coke, as you crush it it is absorbing energy, when it cannot crush anymore the energy required increases, and the force is transferred through with minimal loses. So with steel, you have a higher "pre-crush" coefficient meaning an increase in g levels to begin deformation of material, then you go into a ride down of absorption, and immediately spike as it becomes harder and harder to crush the material. With aluminum your ride down curves are substantially flatter, and your peak force is much less as well. this is all less energy transferred to the people inside the car. Uni body construction provide a more solid cabin space to the occupants, allowing energy to be transferred around the cabin and not through it. also your momentum is much lower with the cars weight, meaning your shock durations are over quicker, which means less energy is allowed to propagate. and etc... etc... etc.... as a general rule... you want a car to have a very rigid cabin structure, but very ductile support around it... you want the car to crush, so all the energy is lost there and not through the cabin. and then there is a bunch of things on driver seating position. axially you want energy to go through your legs as much as possible, as you knees act like shock absorbers... on SUV's you sit more upright, and the majority of the force is absorbed by your rib cage. you also have a lower center of gravity, and your roll center is much lower, meaning during an accident, rotational motion is decreased... last thing you want to do is crash and have force acting on your brain perpendicular to line of sight... brains don't do to well in these conditions. if all else fails... get a mistress. |

I feel pretty safe in the Z actually, so I don't know what your girlfriends problem is. Mine keeps yelling at me to slow down, that's about it. Time to trade in your....girl. Also how can you "race around" in an ML350? Those are so slow!!:icon18:
|
Wow. I'd say fine you can follow me in your Benz or you you can drive me in your Benz. Don't ever compromise on this. I'm a stubborn F*&% though :)
Oh yeah and if she EVER gets in, take it easy until she relaxes a bit. Then when she falls asleep open it up and enjoy! Hahahaha I do this with my GF. She just told me this past weekend she knows because it woke her up. My GF doesn't like the feeling of getting pinned in the seat at all. I'm still trying to teach her how to be a good passenger without getting whiplash :) |

Soo you need to find another girl man. I know a bunch of girls that would ride with me. Not to count the heads I turn at the Valets in vegas and on the strip.:tiphat: |

ITT: 370Z fans taking my GF's views to the personal level.
My goodness, this thread has exploded, haha. Never thought it would get this long. Well, today I convinced the GF to ride in the car after school and let her give it a spin. Took her five minutes to get comfortable with it. Now she likes it...A lot. And she says she wants one now. Girls change like the weather, I swear. And because so many of you asked: http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/9602/42786202.jpg (yah, I know it's not the greatest pic ever. But trust me, she's cute ALL over) |
