Hard wired V1 Radar detector power problem
I have my V1 hard wired on my home link. I noticed this annoying problem of the V1 intermittantly losing power and turning off then right back on, so it resets. Well it seems to only be happening at night! More investigating I have come to conclusion its when the lights are on and there are lots of things on. I also tested this while sitting in the car, engine running, I open the door and when the dome light comes on it will do it. Pressing the door button and releasing it will do this too. What could be causing this? I made sure the pins on the Invinsicord and in tight. I tried dozens of times making sure they are secure... Anyone else have any issues like this with their Invinsicord???

why dont you just tap from the fuse box and place it near the dash? it's a lot easier to see the arrows on my V1 when it's close to the cluster than hanging on the rearview while blocking the view on the right side of the car.

I pin pointed the problem! The auto Dimming of the mirror would cause this when headlights would shine in the mirror. Everytime this happened, my Radar would reset. Turning off the AutoDim resolved the issue.
Could this be an electricial issue like not enough amperage where I tapped to get the power for the Homelink???

He detector uses next to nothing for current. I suggest going back to Mike's thread and check your wiring. I tapped the exact wires he used for the autodim. The detector should just be tapped to the fuse box if you're having issues. This should be a no brainer install.
