Is there still a gear indicator on non S-mode (i.e. non sports package) 6MT models?
Silly question, but is there still a digital indicator, at bottom of tach, for the non-sports package (i.e. non synchro-rev match manual transmissions)?
|
I would imagine there is, even with SRM off it still displays the selected gear on mine.

Can anyone with a non-sport package version confirm?
(still can't believe i forgot to look yesterday when I test drove one, or maybe it wasnt light up which is why i dont remember it). |
Yes, there is. All the models have it.
|
I would assume since the base doesn't have the transmission sensor thing it will not show which gear the car is in. The sports package adds a sensor on the transmission.
|
I say again, it is available on ALL MODELS.

^ I just saw a pic of an auto with the indicator (off of NNA's website).
2009 Nissan 370Z Coupe - Nissan USA Official Site Maybe only the 6MT non Sport is without it? That wouldn't make any damn sense though. |

The Sports S-synchro MT6 has one for sure as well. But I'm now 99% sure that the MT6 (non-sports model) doesn't have the gear indicator (and I mean, it looks like it doesnt eve have the two little LED circles for it). |
^ You know what I find weird about that pic... Nissan states that the auto doesn't get the shift indicator, but yet it shows it on their site (the link I posted). Hmm.
|
Yes, all models have the indicator.
|
Ok, now that I've picked up my base, MT6, non-sport model, let me give you all the definitive answer: There is NO gear indicator, nor is there even a little window for one on my car.
|
Congradulations on getting the car.
