How do you feel about Nissan/Infiniti?
I have never owned a Nissan ever until now and technically I still don't :ugh2:. I planned on getting a 350z as my next car then I heard about the 370z the G37 was in play aswell. So coming into a new brand (previous Mitsubishi fan) I researched. Now I can see why so many people are passionate and love the brand so much. Maybe mustang and chevy guys have that same feeling I dont know, even when I look at or read an article about the GTR or see a picture of the GTR I think go Nissan or it feels good to be apart of the whole idea that Nissan is about Performance/Value! I know they arent perfect but from what I can tell many people who buy a Nissan seem to stay with them Infiniti included.
Am I alone or do others feel the same? |

I have been thinking about buying a toy for last year or two (until the retail market disappeared in October!) I love the look of the new Z and with my fondness for Nissan/Infiniti it is now on the list along with used Porsches (Boxster S/Cayman S) and used MB SLK55 AMG. The only downside I see so far is that they depreciate like a Chevy!! Maybe a one year old model with 5,000 to 10,000 miles would be the perfect toy? Providing I don't get screwed on closing out my lease, I will probably be a lifetime fan of the company. Shane D |
I test drove the G35 and BMW 335i extensively before I bought my G35 (and to a lesser extent the Audi A4 and Acura TL). Ultimately, I believe the 335i was the better performance car, but it was only about 10% better performance for about 30% more money. Having put 15k miles on my G35 I have nothing but good things to say about it. If I wanted to buy another $40k performance oriented sedan I would very likely buy the exact same car again, colour, options and all (well, I *might* skip the AWD next time).

I feel fine about them, now ask me about my feelings on GM
|
^ Any of the big 3's that I have owned and driven in the past few years started out great but had one too many problems in half the time that it took on my honda/nissan. I know for a fact that I would never get another Ford/GM/Chevy

Well a corvette is probably a better performance bang for buck than the GTR. Especially when you take into consideration maintenance costs.
I think brand loyalty is pretty stupid and you should judge each car on it's own merits. These automakers are all businesses trying to sell you a product. It's not in your best interest to think they're your friends or something. |

I think you mean Ford/GM/Chrysler :tiphat: |
^ yeah, but compare the interiors of those cars. From someone who has had three vettes, they are pieces of crap on the inside, you're just buying it for the engine. BUT, thats enough for some people.

I used own a Mitsu before my 03 Z and I would never ever buy another Mitsu. As long as Nissan keeps pumping cars with amazing engines I'll always buy Nissan.
From the quality of the car to the service and buying experience has been 200 times better than what I ever experienced though Mitsubishi. As long as they continue to provide the service they have provided over the past 6 years I believe they deserve my business and will be happy to give it to them so they can continue building new cars that I'll want a few years down the road. On a side note both Mitsubishi dealerships in Tucson have closed. |
Brand Loyalty=O.k.
I don't see anything wrong with brand loyalty if you have a open mind for the possibility to try another product. If your brand has served you well over the years there isn't anything wrong with going with what you know and what you feel is reliable. I think that would qualify as brand loyalty but if you hold it to a high standard that the manufacturer can do no wrong then its Fanboy-ism

Nissan to me has always been on one of the "top3" of Japanese manufacturers besides Toyota and Honda. However, Nissan sticks out as the better performance and better looking of the other two.
