Well, $28K is my limit no matter what goes down, but lower would be nicer. I plan to spend a few hours there with an extensive test drive. I wont be in any rush. Any key features I should check on the vehicle/ things to be aware of? Thanks in advance.

The only issue on the '09s is the ECU whine and weak hatch springs. No guarantee the car will have or not have those issues, but check for them. Probably not a deal breaker.

The ECU whine I know about, but what should I be looking for to see if the hatch springs are defective? What exactly happens? Do they not open the hatch on their own?

Now just hope they don't have a google alert or like googling, or else they know your limit is $28k and they'll make sure you'll pay that. ;)

Start at $26K, you know the stealership will play the game. $27.5K OTD.

get to the button price as far as you can, take your z. The navigation is real hot thing to have for z. I wish I had one in my 40th anniversary... well, they dont have in their option line though.

Dont want to sound like an idiot, but what does button price mean?

When I bought my Z, I made them an offer that they laughed at me for, told them that if they agreed to it I would sign the papers because that was the most I could do. I went to leave and they chased me to my truck to tell me they figured out that they could do it. So when shooting at a low offer you have nothing to lose.

Yeah, I mean it cant hurt. Worst case, I just come back the next day and offer more if I am still interested. On a crappier note it started storming before I went to leave and it hasnt stopped yet, so it looks like I will try to go tomorrow even though it is supposed to storm again. I dont want to test drive a vehicle in nasty weather.
