I got a survey in the mail last week. In it, there was a $1 bill. did you guys get one?

the survey is from the RDA Group. i have no idea which company it is, not from Nissan apparently.

i'm filling it out right now and mail it in later.

Oh BTW i really diss them about the paint quality. zero mark.

Survey's aren't worth the paper their printed on

I got one, not from Nissan. I didnt bother filling it out, it was like 6 pages long. I didn't get a dollar with it though. I feel cheated!

Got one from JD Power - cha-ching $1. Got one from RDA Group - cha-ching $1. Got one from some random survey company no cha-ching - cheap bastards. I filled out the JD Power one since I'd heard of them. The others were filed in the shredder.

So far two for new car buyers, not from Nissan or the dealer. Both went to the trash.

Back when I worked @ the dealership, Customer Surveys were more important to General Motors than Sales numbers. We went as far as offering CASH to get customers to turn in their surveys on time, with high marks (illegal in the eyes of GM, but that didn't stop us). After the economic 'collapse' i'm not sure how important they are anymore, but I know for certain that if you give a vehicle or a dealership or salesman/manager low marks, it will come back to bite said dealership in the arse.

At a minimum, you can use surveys to get free stuff or something 'extra', like an oil change or car wash/detail or even a free lunch. You never know until you try.

haha. You mean like casually walk into the dealership with the survey ....

You: pardon me is the manager here

Manager: Can I help you?

You: I'm about to fill the "dealership" section of my JD Power's survery. I'm wondering if there is anything you can do to "help me remember" what an [Monty Burns voice] excellent [/Monty Burns voice] experience I had buying the car from your dealership?

I got one from JD Powell but I got a Saw buck to fill it out and return it.:ughdance:

They need to put a couple of dollars in the census survey.

SophiaZ 04-20-2010 07:37 PM

I got 2 surveys with a crispy $1 bill each :) I did fill them both out too...opinions are much needed to improve some cars..and the Nissan's paint is one reason...

Zagg, Without the monty burns voice, that actually happened more often than you would think, especially in our service dpt... And you don't even have to walk in, just call your service manager or sales manager and mention the Legitimate problems you have. You'd be surprised what some dealerships will do for a good score on Manufacture Surveys.

Now, JD Power an Associates? They're scammers. They give awards to whichever manufacturer gives them the most money. Those awards are 100% bought and paid for. I trust JD Power about as much as I trust the .gov. Keep the dollar from this survey, then burn the paper to keep warm.

The surveys have nothing to do with cars. It's just research to see if people will fill out a survey if you include a dollar.
