By the Numbers - January 2009: Not So Happy New Year Edition - Autoblog

Looks like everyone had a pretty rough January except for Kia +3.5%, Subaru +8%, and Hyundai +14.3%.

When the 370Z officially went on sale in Japan on Dec 1, 2008 , they saw a 200% increase in the sale as well.

1280 vs 5802 of the Rogue, and i don't see that many Rogue on the road, so our car will be even rarer.

Comparing this january to last january is obvious, but how about jan versus december. I think that would be a better indicator as to whether the market is up, down, or the same for nissan.

Isn't january kind of a "lull" in terms of car sales anyways since people in snowy states typically avoid that kind of purchase that time of year? I know all my friends and family in wisconsin and ohio always hold off until spring.

That would be the # to compare. Not the first year new model sales vs the last year of the previous model.
Although that's still positive in terms of $ sales.
