Who's buying an Auto w/Paddle Shifters?

I've got the 6MT and it seems like one too many gears. What do you do with the seventh?

It is different ratio's on the 7AT, and the 7th is basically also an overdrive in my opinion and experience

I meant I have one too many gears with six. I am thinking you have two too many with seven.

My old 350Z with a 6spd seemed to have 1 too many gears for street driving, but it was great on the race track. I skipped gears a lot on the street.

The ratio's in the AT is of such a nature that the sixth gear is still a very usable gear which you can compare to the fifth in the MT.

I'm generally never higher than 5th in normal crusing on the road (i.e., < 45 mph speed limits). Occasionally 6th, but 7th is really just for the highway.
