I'd like to hear your opinion and thoughts when driving in manual mode. Especially the Down Shift Rev Matching.

I would too....
My main concern is does it EVER shift for you? I want absolutely ZERO interference. I just want it to do what I want at all times, just like a MT would. Last edited by hey32g; 02-07-2009 at 02:40 PM. |

No nuetral with the paddles. It can happen if you slap the stick when it's in auto mode. Ooops.
It will shift for you but only when your RPMs are too slow for idle (below 1000rpm). On the way up the gears it will not shift for you. Coming soon! A review of the auto transmission with dyno results from today. Preview:hello drivetrain loss.

^^^ Not a good idea to have automatic car moving while in neutral. The transmission isn't getting lubed when it's in neutral. This won't effect the transmission right away... But doing it often and for long periods (like going down a long hill) isn't good for the trans at all.

Press on the brake + push the gas padel until you feel that the rear is going to come loose+ hold it there (w/e RPM that is). Light turns green = brake off + gas floored.

Sounds like B.S. because the speed of the shift has to do with line pressure. I can't imagine how the ground has ANYTHING to do with speed of shift at all.
