its the power seat assembly. Right where the power buttons are, to move the seat forward and back, those sometimes rattle and buzz. This happened to me a few mornings and it took me hours to figure out. To fix it, remove the seat from the car, punch the seat 17 times in the groin area, high five it, then put it back into the car. In all seriousness, check the power seat button area

I haven't read this whole thread, but I'll put in my .02 anyway. The buzzing/vibrating noises were driving me insane, so I had the shop remove the headliner, and insulate all the small brackets in the roof. No more noises.

Hey guys!
Unfortunately, I also have two sorts of vibrating noises in my car, which makes me mad. Is there any instruction/guidance at this side, how to remove the headliner? In Schrute's Journal, he said there are already some threads with pictures how to remove the rear stuff, but I can't find any. Could anyone give me some links, or post a few pics on how to remove the headliner? I don't want to break something when doing this on my own. But I have to do something, because otherwise these noises are driving me INSANE... |

Check out schrute's journal and his photo albums.
Basically, you need to disassemble all of the hatch area plastic up to the triangle windows. Gently pop down the head liner and you'll see some wires and clips that can use insulating. If you have SAT and or NAV, turn your palm towards the roof and slide your hand in and up around the structural bracing just to the right of the antenna. You'll find some more wires that need to be insulated and secured. These were the culprits in my car. Good luck!!!
