0-60 in 4.6? I think even Corvette goes 4.3 or so...not sure the V6 can push that kind of time. I'd love to hear it can but does anyone know?

Actually, the 135 and the 335 share the same engine. Ive driven both, and the 335 is slightly nicer inside, as well as being slightly larger and slightly heavier.

Overall, however, the cars just aren't that different.

Dont be in denial man, a true M car based on the 1 series is coming real soon and it will be measured against the 370, among others. There is news it will have a more unique customization program with matte paint options, all M paint options, CF options, etc. We will know for sure in Dec.

BMW has already been quoted as saying that there will be NO M1. Check out the article on Autoblog.com about it.

I honestly looked and the 135 and 335's when I was buying my Z. The front of the 135 looks like a retarded fish...It just DOES. The 335 was more refined and the coupe with all the options looks gorgeous on the outside, but again the interior is bland, their interiors honestly haven't changed since my first BMW(99 328i).

In terms of handling the 135 had decent handling but it was forgettable. The 335 felt more put together but in the end the price did not justify a purchase.

I will say this though: I love the engine. I have a soft spot for factory turbo-charged cars as you can gain SO MUCH performance with little investment.

I also have driven a 2008 Z4 3.0 and the handling was great(still not as good as a Z) but it didn't quite have the performance, obviously the new 2011 with the 3.5l TT engine is the REAL performer. If you must get a Z4 I would go with the new sDrive 3.5i option, but it's REALLY overpriced and honestly not worth it.

Here's hoping you get the car you want. :)

I've got some little birdies at BMWNA - the M1 is coming, trust me. ;)

The M1 test mule was spotted recently at the nurburgring. No official body has been spotted, but the engine and suspension testing has already begun.

I would LOVE to get my hands on a 135 w/ some weight loss + stiffer suspension... wouldnt even need any power increase... red370 - you are on crack dude... that car will be AMAZINGLY fun to drive... I am sure it will be more than comparable to our Zs... the 1series is the ONLY car that BMW offers that even comes close to competing w/ Zs and Gs (that is - in an enthusiasts eyes) ... why get a heavier same motor having car (335)?

The 1er is the only BMW that I would even remotely consider getting... go drive one... they are admittedly very fun in the corners...

Thanks for your input. However there is now enough evidence beyond mere magazine articles to suggest that an M version of the 1 series is on the way

That car is in the back of my mind for now since we know little about it. If it's anything like my last M3 I will wait for it.

Regarding the Z4, my interest is only in the M version with the 330hp straight six and tighter coupe version.

I know no single girl here who loves porsches.

these days my 370 is really getting alot of attention, hell I have had girls asking me to take them around for a spin. one guy said that he thought it was a aston martin from far.

I personally don't like the Z4 design that much, it looks like a designer took some form and drug and couldn't stop designing it.

It's quite strange you don't know any girls who love Porsches

It can vary of course but in my experience most girls (that i know) think the 370z looks good and looks fast but looks a bit try hard, comparing to something like a Cayman S tend to think looks beautiful, fast and expensive, more classy

When you see a Porsche, most people will instantly relate that to high quality German engineering, fast and expensive, they have earnt that reputation

I think they both look good but the Cayman S is the better looking car, 370z has that high beltline big butt tapering upwards thing im noticing only recently.
I also have a big problem with the giant boomerang headlights that come halfway up the front of the car, if only they were half the length....

Sucks that a 370z here is around $60k and a Cayman S is $160k, hearing you can get a Cayman in america for $40k makes me cry myself to sleep
:barf:

porsches here are starting to get mainstream. I cant spend a day on the road without seeing one.

girls generally look at a porsche and think old men.

honestly I have NEVER seen a porsche driver in belgium that was younger than 50.

They also tend to find the porsches to be old fashioned in looks, not ugly but old fashioned.

I myself don't like porsches, I find them good looking but not beautifull.

It is just the difference in continent.

biggest difference I have noticed is that in america, wel atleast here VOLK rims are god while here those type of rims are regarded as cheap ricer rims.
